As a child everything I did was seemilngly wrong and my acheivemnts went unnoticed. Although I tried hard and did well academically, my education was deemed unimportant since my parents vision for me was to marry a man who would support me financially.

Because of cultural subtleties I was considered significantly less important than my underacheiving older brother and could never do anything the right way for my mother who was seriously OCD.

I blosomed in to a beautiful young woman but had such little faith in myself that I made mistake after mistake in my relationships, just wanting desperately to be loved.

Even though my current marriage has also gone awry, I have two beautiful children with whom I am determined to give a different experience of life.

I tell my daughter how important her inner beauty is and what it means every single day. My son is praised for his academic giftedness and both are appreciated fully for the incredible human beings that they are. They are happy, well balanced young adults who are secure in themselves and the love that surrounds them and I feel they are armed with what they need to make good choices for themselves when I am not there to guide them.

Wow! I am so excited for you.

And from the few tris that I have done so far, I can honestly say, there's a lot to be said for a good organized triathlon.

Amen to THAT!

Hi Fred

Thanks for taking the time to share this video with the world!! what an amazing story……I agree I cannot wait to fall again just so I can get back up!

It just goes to show you that God will never give you any task or challenge in this world that he knows you cannot handle and we all need to search for our inner strength.

Sometimes we feel that it is not there but trust me and believe me when I say it is there. You just may have to dig deep down inside to find it sometimes but the more times you let that strength surface to the top the easier it is to find that inner strength. Your inner strength will start to get so close that when you need it it will be right there in fact so close that it does become easier to get back up when you fall.

Thanks again Fred for always brightening my day this website is my inner strength on those extra days when I need it.

Be sure to arrive at the Ironman before the start of the swim Fred. The sun tops over the mountain just about the same time the swimmers hit the water and the sight from down the beach, of that sun shining through all the splashing as everyone rushes in is awesome. Very exhilarating. Makes you want to jump in and join.

Congratulations on your completion of the Apple! A feat to be proud of.
